Relaxed, bespoke wedding and baby photography

“Thank you so much, they are great!”

Devon Marquee Wedding

I first spoke to Amy on the phone as she was trying on her wedding dress, “It’s fate”, she said “I need you as the wedding photographer!”.

Now Amy and Richard had a bit of a task on their hands, as they had to do most of the planning from the Philippines! Well they certainly pulled it off. In the back fields of her parent’s house in Devon, they erected a full height wedding marquee. Complete with fairy lights and the most amazing foliage as decoration, this wedding marquee certainly looked stunning. They even had a mobile gin distillery, “Still On The Move” create their own gin for the day, and had it bottled up for guests to drink. Now that’s what I call a wedding favour!

I had actually met Amy and Richard for an engagement shoot earlier that year. I was really looking forward to exploring more of the farm with them for their couple’s shoot, but the weather on the day was on/off torrential rain! That did not dampen their spirits at all though. From the moment I turned up these two were all smiles. Amy’s vintage inspired dress was to. die. for. And the groomsmen’s bow ties were so funky! Such great accents to the day.

Highlights!

The absolute highlight for me was the wedding ceremony. A steel drum band played their music….’Falling In Love With You’ by UB40. And I don’t think I have laughed so much during the vows! Not even that on/off rain could dampen the atmosphere here – and we even managed to sneak outside later on in the day for a few shots!
